The 1981 Australian Open final where Martina beats Chris 7-5 in the 3rd set will air on the Tennis Channel on Monday, January 11 at 7 pm & 10 pm.

The following evening, the 1982 Australian Open final where Chris avenges this loss, beating Martina 6-3 2-6 6-3, will air on the Tennis Channel on Tuesday, January 12 at 7 pm & 10 pm.

Chris Evert/Raymond James Pro Celebrity Tennis Charity weekend raised another $700,000!

Chrissie's star studded 20th anniversary charity tennis classic raised another $700,000 over the weekend, bringing Chris Evert Charities' total to $18.5 million.

The weekend was filled with tennis rallies, outrageous commentaries, fantastic auction packages, and an incredible evening cocktail party and gala. You can read the article at tennis week and join in the fun vicariously.

Chris and Martina meet in New York for New ESPN Documentary.

As reported by chrisevert.net earlier in the summer, ESPN's 30 for 30 series is creating an hour-long documentary about the Chris Evert/Martina Navratilova rivalry, which will air next summer.

The two all-time great champs met for a full week in New York for interviews with Hannah Storm and documentarians Lisa Lax and Nancy Stern. You can see the inital promotional announcement here!

Evert and Norman announce separation.

(AP) — Just 15 months after they were married, Greg Norman and Chris Evert announced they have separated.

The couple did not say whether they planned to divorce. In a statement, the couple said only, "We will remain friends and supportive of one another's family." The statement said they requested privacy for them and their families.

The program is called "Golf in America" hosted by Anthony Anderson, a 10-episode series launching June 21 which features the famous (Justin Timberlake, Donald Trump, Jerry Weintraub, Greg Norman and Chris Evert) telling real stories about real lives and real people but always with a connection to golf. The 4th episode is a 30-minute show which includes the Chris and Greg segment, airing Tuesday July 14 at 10 pm!

ESPN anchor Hannah Storm said she will team with former NBC Sports colleague Lisa Lax and Lax’s sister — filmmaker Nancy Stern — to produce a film about the Chris Evert/Martina Navratilova tennis rivalry for ESPN’s 30 for 30 series.

Chrissie Caddied for Greg at the Masters' Par-3 event, easily winning golf.com's nomination for "Most Attractive Caddie"

Norman/Evert will be featured in April issues of Men's Journal & Sports Illustrated!

Hitting the newstands around March 10, Chrissie & Greg will be in the April issue of Men's Journal & April 6 for Sports Illustrated. In the Men's Journal piece, the general theme is about Greg's comeback, return to the The Masters and his life and marriage with Chris.

The Sports Illustrated piece will be more specifically about their relationship, life and marriage together. While the SI article has been set to go for a while, Chris & Greg just did a photo shoot for it a few weeks ago. So be on the lookout for those upcoming issues!

Chris & Greg on '60 Minutes' in Australia!

Chrissie and Greg were given a 15-minute feature on Australia's "60 MINUTES" to share with the world all about how and when they fell in love, their reactions to some of the media outbursts surrounding the romance, and their plans for the future. This aired Sunday March 1 on Australia's channel 9.

'An Evening With Greg Norman'

Chrissie was in attendance for a special evening in Brisbane Australia on February 24th in honor of her husband Greg Norman.

The event is a fund raising initiative for the Greg Norman Golf Foundation, a not for profit organization whose sole mission is to introduce and develop an interest in the game to young girls and boys.

The two are seen here laughing at the Gala Dinner of the 2009 Johnnie Walker Classic tournament at the Vines Resort and Country Club in Perth Australia.

Chris does Radio Spot for Hood 'Simply Smart' Milk Products

Chris Evert has lent her voice in support of the Hood Brand 'Simply Smart' Milk campaign, recording radio spots to be aired in local markets from Maine to Connecticut & Georgia to Florida carrying this innovative line of products.

Hood came up with a natural technique called ultra-filtration to remove some of the liquid that can make low-fat and fat-free milks look and taste watery. Simply Smart 1% tastes like whole milk, and Simply Smart Fat Free tastes like 2%. This makes living healthy easier and Chris was glad to support it - though this is by no means her first campaign efforts for milk, as seen here from the 2005 'Got Milk?' campaign!

Is Chrissie taking up Golf???

In this picture on the right, is Chrissie unwittingly trying out an early version of a golf swing with her tennis racquet??! Clearly she has the form for it!

While it's well known that Chris has been coaching her new husband into tip-top tennis shape, sure enough Greg Norman has been working on golf with Chris as well, and reports "Chrissie is just starting to take an interest in golf and she is a natural. Stay tuned, as you will see us playing golf and tennis together in the near future."

Chris Evert Tennis Center in Costablanca, Dominican Republic

The Chris Evert Tennis Center at Costablanca will house a state-of-the-art tennis facility with 10 Har-Tru clay courts, including a tournament level court. The construction of this tennis center goes hand in hand with the first Greg Norman Signature Golf Course in the country.

2008 Chris Evert/Raymond James Pro-Celebrity Tennis Classic is on the way!

Get ready! The 19th Annual Chris Evert/Raymond James Pro-Celebrity Classic will be held on November 1-2, 2008 at the Delray Beach Tennis Center. This yearly event has raised $16.8 Million during its near 20-year run in raising money to support mothers in their fight against drug abuse and homelessness, and to assist neglected and abused children in South Florida

Among the stars scheduled to join Chris and compete in the two days of tennis action are tennis greats Jim Courier, Jana Novotna, Lindsay Davenport, Murphy Jensen and Vince Spadea. They will be joined by television stars Scott Foley (“The Unit”), Alan Thicke (“Growing Pains”), Maeve Quinlan (“South of Nowhere”), comedian and film star Jon Lovitz (“Saturday Night Live”), musician Gavin Rossdale and golfing legend Greg Norman. Other participants are scheduled to be announced in the coming weeks.

Included in the fun will be a performance by world famous white Andolusian horses, The Lipizzaner Stallions which can be seen here on video as well as The Commodores performing at the Gala on Saturday night! Tickets and further information can be found here.

Chrissie Unites with Past Champions in Historic 40th Anniversary US Open Opening Night Presentation

Among the tennis greats on-hand for Opening Night of the Open-Era 40th Anniversary of the US Open --in addition to Chris Evert-- are Billie Jean King, John McEnroe, Rod Laver, Ivan Lendl, Tracy Austin, Martina Navratilova, Stan Smith, Boris Becker, Gabrielle Sabatini, John Newcombe, Ilie Nastase, Guillermo Vilas and Mats Wilander.

The celebration includes a look back to the very first US Open in 1968 with Virginia Wade, the first women’s singles US Open champion, and Jeanne Moutoussamy-Ashe and her daughter Camera Ashe, representing their late husband and father Arthur Ashe, who won the 1968 men’s singles title. Additionally, present day players appearing in the celebration include Roger Federer, Lindsay Davenport, Venus Williams, Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova, Marat Safin and Andy Roddick. Wedding Bells for June? Evert and Norman to Marry This Summer

In Tennis.com's Chatter from the Sidelines page, there is an UNCONFIRMED article that says Chrissie & Greg will marry in June. The article says, "The former World No. 1’s were neighbors in Florida and shared Evert’s Boca Raton home according to reports, but Norman has purchased a luxury palazzo, which they will likely share, inspired by the Doge’s Palace in Venice. The home, “Villa Venezia,” worth more than $20 million dollars and boasting 52 rooms, sits on 3.77 acres of prime waterfront real estate in Palm Beach. The 28,000 sqft home is also rich in history, formerly owned by the wife of late publishing mogul Randolph Hearst."

Unfortunately this claim about the home is also rumoured to be false. But you can check out a photo page here of the DreamCastle Home causing all the ruckus.

Norman Professes Love for Evert on NBC Weekend Telecast

On the December 8 telecast of the Merrill Lynch Shootout, Greg Norman told NBC about his relationship with Chris Evert, "She's been phenomenal for me, to me in the last year and a half. It's just been tremendous. We've both known each other for a long period of time, since 1976-77. ... We both followed our respective careers all the way through and here we are. She's a very, very special person.''

Martina Navratilova joined Chrissie on court after four years away from the event, with Evert & Gavin Rossdale beating Navratilova & Scott Foley 6-3. In addition, Jim Courier, Jana Novotna, Mark Philippoussis, Mary Carillo, Murphy Jensen, and Bud Collins were there from the tennis world. Chrissie was at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on October 24 at 6:30 pm to receive a Sports Award for excellence as an athlete on and off the court-- for exceling as a competitor and champion, but also for making a difference in her community.

If you were listening closely to the Wimbledon Championships broadcasts this year, you may have heard some good news about Evert Tennis Academy student, Madison Brengle, one of the USTA High Development girls who has already moved to ETA.

She lives and trains with the Academy (and her USTA coaches) when she is not travelling.

Madison was a finalist at Jr. Wimbledon. She lost in 3 sets to Urzula Radwanska of Poland in the final.

Chrissie's son, Alex, is 'IN THE NEWS!'

With so much attention always going to his famous parents, tennis legend Chris Evert and Olympic skier Andy Mill, it's great to see that Alex Mill --now 15 years old, the same age Chrissie was when she famously downed world number one Margaret Court in straight sets-- is making a name for himself in skateboarding.

This August 4th article in the Aspen Times is a great read, stating "Alex, a slender 15-year-old who bears a striking resemblance to his mother, looks like he's as much as ease on four wheels as Mill on skis or Evert with racket in hand."

Sister Andrea Jaeger visited the Chris Evert Children's Hospital last week. Chrissie met her there and they dropped in on many sick children and brought them toys. NBC covered this visit.

The Today Show piece aired Friday, Feb 2nd in the 8:00am hour and the Nightly News piece airs Friday night at 6:30pm EST.

Chris Evert was at Grand Central Station on Friday August 25 at 9 am along with other tennis greats including Rafael Nadal and Kim Clijsters, who were in attendance throughout the day from 7 am until 6 pm. She was also at American Express @ Madison Square Park in a chat with Mary Carillo on Tuesday, August 29 at 1 pm.

Then, Chris was on the CBS Early Show on September 7. Chrissie gets on court for the feature and you can still catch her hilarious video segment here!

Chrissie spoke at the US Open's "Night of Legends" Ceremony to honor Billie Jean King as the National Tennis Stadium was re-named after her. This took place on Monday August 28 at the start of the evening session. Diana Ross performed. Information about the event is on the attached pdf file.

The irrepressible Chris Evert showed up at this year's Indian Wells, California final trophy presentation, and laughs here with champion Maria Sharapova during the ceremony on March 18.

Chrissie was at the "Wimbledon" movie premier (See movie trailer here!) in LA on Sept. 13th, as usual in stunning style. The whole family was on-hand for the festivities. Below, Chris is with husband Andy Mill and their three sons, Alexander, Nicholas, and Colton. The movie was released on DVD Dec 28.

As some of you may have seen on The Tennis Channel, Chrissie was in Newport, Rhode Island as part of the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Tennis Hall Of Fame. As the articles all say, Chris received--to no surprise--the largest applause of all the Greats on hand, including John McEnroe, Margaret Court, & Rod Laver.
